We recorded these demos to showcase Rena's vocals. We had limited time and poor quality backing tracks for Old Devil Called Love and Masquerade, however Rena really makes them come alive.

Rena began her singing career as a child, singing with her mother who sang at weddings and social events for family and friends. Her first recording experience was at age ten with the school choir in a Melbourne studio.

In her teen years Rena appeared in various competitions on radio stations, winning some, and on national television, age sixteen, performing to a live studio audience. She performed on television an additional three times and continued to sing in competitions, gaining further experience.

In collaboration with talented songwriter Tony Carne, Rena wrote and recorded a song as well as organizing a successful community concert which received airplay on radio and some notoriety.

Moving to Spain, Rena entertained in restaurants and sang socially for friends and family during her time in Europe.

Towards the end of her stay in New Zealand during 2006, we enjoyed getting to know Rena and backing her with the Freewheelin' band as she performed at the Victorian Rose and Prince Albert in Nelson.
